how do i open a bonnet when the inside cable does not work?

tried to open the bonnet from inside cable and handle are loose and not releasing. cable attatched to lever inside. catch on inside of grill front also not releasing. how do i get in?

i had a simular problem, and my mum was laughing at me, untill she called the RAC and he came along and oulled on it quite hard and it opened in one go =$ didnt i look like an idiot =P
