Treadmill speed is out of control, how can I fix it?

I have a Trojan Elite treadmill, when I turn it on it immediately goes to top speed and I am unable to reduce it any ideas please?

Andy I have had an engineer out to look at my trojan treadmill. Its doing the same as yours. It needs a new circuit board that controls the speed. Cost (if the part is still available) is around 200 fitted. Ive bought a new treadmill !

Check your big roller at the front is the rubber coming off it? If it is the running track will slip and the moter overcompesates creating excess speed. A new rubber cover or a new roller should cure if thats the problem. I just cant get hold of the spare part for mine. Any one have any ideas??
