The cold water comes out very sparingly?

The cold water does not work very well. What can be causing this and how can I fix it. The hoses were replaced recently because thought maybe that was the problem. I purchased it around 5 years ago and it is a Maytag Performa

Hello,

Shut off the cold water supply on the washer and remove the hose end leading to the water valve. Once the hose is removed clean the filter screen on the valve that's blocking the cold water flow. If it's impossible to clean you can replace it.
