Fuel Line Replacement?

How do I put a new line on my XT50 weedwacker? It goes into the bottom of tank and inside is a filter. It is very tight to prevent it from leaking gas. But once removed well... the new line is like a wet noodle so I just can't push it thur. The only thing is to thread a wire thru the line and pull it thru the tank. But how do I fasten the wire so it will come along? Any suggestions?

I figured it out myself. The wire didn't work. Slit the line in half part way and discard only half and leave the rest of the hose intack. Now you are working with a hose half as thick, not the whole hose. It will fit into the hole at the bottom of the tank. Push enough thur to grab it from the inside of gas tank with a needle nose pliers. Now pull the hose. With your finger nail you can get the hose through the hole on the bottom. Pull the slit part out of the tank and cut it off. Remember you have to buy enough so after you pull the hose out of the tank and put the filter on you end up with enough to attach it to the carburetor. I bought 12 inch piece. 6 inch discard and 6 inch piece I needed to make the connection.
