why does the light stay on the ceiling pull when switched off?

just had a new ceiling pull fitted as my last one broke. the red light stays on even when i've pulled it to the off switch. it's to work my triton t80si shower can you tell me if it's still safe to use or should i have it replaced again.

provided it turns off power to the shower its safe to use.
it seems as tho the switch has got the feed wires fastened into the load connectors of the switch and vice versa and so the led ( red light ) will remain on. get the person who fitted it to correct the problem.
