Dishwasher water damaged?

Hi I would really appreciate some help with this! I have a Philips 4501/ADP dishwasher and it is now blowing the RCD every time I try to turn it on. This started after the sink waste got blocked and the water backed up into the dishwasher and flooded it.
Could anyone suggest what may be causing this please?
Thanks very much in advance for any assistance

Remove door front panel and check wiring loom from base of machine where it enters door to timer etc.. Flexing caused by opening/closing door over the years cracks the insulation/wiring and the damp gets in and shorts-out RCD. Cut out damaged wires and splice in new cable.
