Water in Nokia 7100?

My new phone has been dropped in water and according to Argos is "Beyond economic repair". Any suggestions as to what I can do to repair it - economically! Thanks

Unless the new phone gonna cost less £25 that is.

Liquid damage phones are a doddle to repair. What Argos is really saying here is: we can try and fix it but we cannot guarantee the work.

Worth a mention is: Argos do not employ electronics technician or engineers. When you send away your phone for repair, Argos sends it to their wholesale warehouse, somewhere in the west midlands, and from there the phone gets shipped to the actual manufacturer(i.e. Nokia, Samsung etc.) that willcarry out repairs.

Back to original question: yes it can be fixed, get the hone down to your local phone repairs guys. £25 is usually the charge.

What they're saying is it's cheaper to buy a new one than try to repair it.
