hit 90 on the m6 and car started to lose power and dropped to 70 and would not pull past that speed.when i came off m6 it went sluggish and would not pull atall i turned off the engine and started it again and it was fine .i had a spanner over car light on the dash help
the spanner usually means it needs service. best get it on a diagnostic machine at the garage. will tell you the fault. not knowing what car it is I cant say what I think it could be, but it sounds like a sensor to me.
