T4 Transporter wont turn over?

Ex AA T4 Transporter SWB 2.5L Turbo diesel 2003, turn the key ,nothing happens, had starter motor off and is fine, battery ok. Wondering if it is a fault on ignition? I have checked fueses all seem ok. I am stuck as to what to try next.

We have an ex aa van and had a similar problem.. It turns out that the aa put another immobilser, so you may need to bipass one of them. Apparently the problem was triggered by a mobile phone areial.

the engine wiring looms are prone for rubbing in the casing.sounds also that the electric part of the ignition switch may be faulty.simply remove from the ignition switch and turn with a scew driver.make sure the key is in the barrel though so the coil can read the transponder in the key

Does the vehicle have the usual anti theft device by Maple, the fob that has to be near to the aerial windings in the lower part of the driver's seat back. The control device is fitted behind the interior panel under the window on the non door side (off side). This could be disabling the starter solenoid. If you have the Maple system fitted, check that the red led that flashes when the fob is away from the aerial in the seat back, ceases to flash when the fob is brought close to the aerial. Also, there is on some long mileage T4's a tendancy for the wiring adjacent to the starter to fail. Give the bundle of wires that feed the starter a good jiggle around...Good luck.
