i put my dads clock into my car becasue my clock was not workin but it put 32k on his clock can anyone help me on this

hi mark your car as an e.c.u. (brain ) once your original clock was taken from your car and another clock fitted, ( your dads ) the cars e.c.u. stores the mileage hence when your dads clock was fitted, the e.c.u. will remember the mileage and display it on that clock. if you would fit a new clock to your car it will still remember the original mileage. this is deigned to avoid tampering with the mileage .

well i can get the car clocked but lookin 250 pound if he had says 50-60 ok but not 250

the mileage information is stored on bsi unit behind dashboard. if clocks changed it will put the highest mileage of the 2 clocks. the only way to change this is to replace bsi and new set of clocks (probably around £1000) but even then the mileage may go to 0miles.
