changed rear shoes now hand brake lever pulls up all the way and just holds, how do you adjust

adjuster is under console round handbrake, remove 2 screws from just towards rear of gearlever and i think that there are 2 screws 1 each side at rear access is with seats tipped and through hole in base.you will find adjuster after removing console [13mm spanner to adjust it.
