how do i tighten the agitator on a hoover 200m 4kg washer?

I have noticed the agitator in my Hoover 200m 4kg washer rattles,I am wondering the best (and quickest) way I should go about tightening it back up!

Take the lint filter out.
Underneith filter, inside and at the bottom of the agitator there is a plastic 'valve'. Valve has three spokes on it. Take a long piece of thick wire and bend one end into a hook. Hook one of the spokes on the valve and gentle pull up and out (remembering is just plastic - not too much force). May help to let machine dry out a bit to reduce the suction from the water - valve fits pretty snugly.
Underneith this valve is a 10mm screw with a hexagon head. You will need a socket and an extension shaft to get to the screw at the bottom of the agitator.
Tighten this screw and you will have tightened your agitator!

I have the same make and model with the same problem.

I used a simple medium sized G-clamp from a hardware store and tightened it in place over the cheap and nasty broken plastic thing that snapped.

Easy fix and has worked for over a year now like that!
