Unlikely.
I assume it is a petrol engine.
What year/mileage is the car, any service history?
What are the symptoms, eg;
Was the car running/starting OK prior to non-start?
Were any dash warning lights on?
Any new noises or smells?
Does the engine spin when you try to start it or do you just get a clicking noise/no action at all?
If not spinning have you checked the battery voltage and all earth cables?
If spinning, are any off the dash lights flashing while trying to start?
Have you checked the cam belt is intact?
