I drove my van this morning, parked it up went to start it 5 mins later and all that happens is the immoilser light stays on and the glow plug and oil light flicker!! all the other lights go out and i get a clicking noise from the relays and diesel pump under the bonnet!! The engine does not even attempt to turn over!!

Sounds like an internal short in the battery. Check it out and replace with new. You may need to use the spare key to start the van,
