my clutch pedal has gone to the floor?

my clutch pedal went to the floor on my mercedes vito van. the RAC bled it which worked but only came up half way. he said it was the slave cillinder on the gear box, but somebody else told me it is the cillinder on the pedal, which is it most likely to be?

HAD THIS PROBLEM ON A DIESEL MONDEO. Cylinder was a fault but ended up having to replace all clutch including fly wheel. Costly repair at time...
Had similar problem in a 2006 Transit when the pedal would slowly sink to the floor when foot rested lightly over it. Pressure plate replaced but replaced clutch kit at same time as I was paying for the labour anyway. Problem solved.

Most likely to be the master cylinder at the pedal - if the slave cylinder at the clutch had failed, hydraulic fluid would be leaking out.
