Beko DRCS68W TUMBLE DRYER NOT HEATING, ?

MY Beko DRCS68W Tumble dryer is not heating
i took the element outer cover off and noticed the element glows for approx. 2 seconds then cuts out and it looks like one of the thermal links is very hyigh ak 2k or o/c but linking across doesn`t bring it on plus safty button flashing. is the fault the heater assembly or some other thermostat somwhere as i am not familiar with tumble Dryers but i do work in electronics. can you please help? 1 is a stat open or closed circuit and the other is a thermister.DON'T short it out as it will cause a fault.use timed dry cycle and see if the element stays on longer
