I have an APM 8552/2 washing machine. 2 years old. Machine has power and fills with water fine. But will not spin.

I have read the manual and it says to clean the filter - which I have done and it still will not spin.

I have rung the repairer and he has said that it could be the belt has come off or broken.

Anyone had similar problems and it not been the belt?

I just dont want to call someone out, and find out it's a bigger problem, and should have put the money towards a new machine!??!

check the carbon brushes that drive the motor, this is normally the problem, also check the connections to the motor
