hey i got the same problem i got a 1600 cross flow it starts but it blows fire from the carb wats wrong wit it any 1 can help me please

hi carl, it depends on which engine unit is fitted as this car had 2 different units from 1969-1971 , the 1st beign ohv ford unit on pushrods and the other beign a over head knocker(cam) as nigel said above the firing order for the ohv is 1,2,4,3. but if your still haveing problems or missfire, check the unit to see if it is hydraulic valves and not push rod, if it is hyraulic then the sequence is 1,4,3,2. also check that the timing is not 180 deg. out as this can also be a common mistake when timing the unit up.

Hi Carl,
1,2,4,3 should get that old Kent lump firing on all four!!
