On my Westwood 1300m I turned the ignition switch to 'on' - lights all came on, on the panel - then distracted and turned switch off, then immediately back on - no lights came on and the mower appears' dead'! - have checked the fuses and all appear OK (was working OK and was in use for the hour previous)

have you any micro switches for safty with springs one broken perhaps

Check the battery terminals for tightness.....are you sure its not one of the safety switches playing up?
