Head gasket problems on the Rover 1.4 engine are not the cheapest of jobs to sort. You will need a a Torx socket for the head bolts and once the head is off I recomend that you have it skimmed, as invariably it will have warped. The best solution is to buy a workshop manual such as a Haynes book as this gives all the details of the work and some of the pitfalls. Good luck!
