my usb stick went from having 3 gig of data to suddenly having 2 terabytes ?

my usb stick had 3 gig of info on it to suddenly having 2 terabytes of info! it hasn't been damaged (to my knowledge anyway) is it possible to recover my information from it? it was a Sony brand, and the computer shops haven't been any help
