DD603 Fisher Paykel - top draw seem to have no power?

The bottom draw is working fine.

The top draw does not have any indication of power, i have repalced the controller behind the door panel as the large capacitor has blown (bad burn't smeel) and leaked oil.

I would like info of power board on base as i suspect this could be the cuase.

Any idea please?

Not sure if this helps... "If a failure occurs with the electronic control of the heater plate, overheat protection is effected by a thermal fuse on the heater plate itself.

The thermal fuse consists of a short length of solder in series with the dropper resistor track which will melt at a relatively low temperature, 268 – 302oC (514 – 576oF) causing the controllers power supply to go open circuit disconnecting power to the element."

Now I'm not sure if that also disconnects power to the controller module, aswell as the heater?

I have replaced the mainsfilter board as suggested and the draw is still not working. To check the display on the controls swapped them over and this did not help and all parts from the faulty draw worked on the bottom draw.

Something must complete the circuit to power this draw up, the only other options i can think of is a faulty wiring loom, or the motor connections etc under the draw.

Does anybody have any suggestions on this, i would call out a service tech but do not have any confidence it the Techs attending in the past.

F&P will not give out wiring diagrams for control boards or PCB of any type except maybe to their own staff. Don't think there is any protection or fuses & most of it is surface mount miniature stuff anyway. Nobody bothers to try & repair these boards for any major problems as they are not hugely expensive.

Thank you

Would i be able to get a circuit diagram, and are there any fuses or protection on this board, as i don't mind repalcing the componets

RFI filter power supply board mounted on base supplies power to the two modules. It was probably damaged when the top module blew or may of even been the cause of the top module problem. Seeing as you have replaced the top module & still no power then you will have to replace the RFI filter power supply board as well.
