This is the second time my drivers window has failed. Previously I argued & won with Renault of Bury, Lancs that the car had only just come out of warranty and they fixed it with a new motor. They had told me it was a known fault! Here I am again with the same problem and Dick Turpin & Co will probably want to charge me £300.00+ to fix it! First time I've seen this site but will use it again. Also, didn't realise about the squeaky breaks!!

Angela, I would imagine that the new motor itself would carry some sort of warranty - at least on the part, but not labour maybe - so why not explain this to the main stealer and see what they say? You could also mention that a letter could be winging its way towards Renault UK......
Incidentally the motor replacement isn't a difficult job, so you could find an independent garage to do the repair for you.
