how do i drain petrol out of my 2004 vw passat 1.9 tdi est?

Help... Plse someone tell me how my poor husband can get the £20 of unleaded out of his treasured VW Passat.
He's tried looking under the back seats as some suggested but no joy, i guess estates are different to saloons?
