there is no power coming to the spark plug leads

my car lighter is fine. but when i push it into the car lighter slot, it doesnt light up. what part do i need to replace, under the bonnet, to make the electrical connection work again? sounds simple. but i am not mechanically minded, many thanks. barry s. i have bought a new lighter, and also checked the connection with a tester, which confirms, that it is a fault in the electrical connection to the base connection of the light port.

first check all fuses if they are ok, it will probably the crank sensor its at the front of the engine right handside of the exhaust and low down..
