Wanted to thank you Alfred, i nearly scrapped my C46 + 10 carts.,. when this "Disaster" message happened, Thanks Mate!!! JUST TO ASSIST A LITTLE..: 1st Download and Install App,..(Make Sure Printer IS ON...Flashing is OK). took me a bit of time to workout how to apply app... BUT, if you choose your printer name/type etc in "main" icon (desktop), THEN go to toolbar "icon", "right click", find "PROTECTION COUNTER", THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RESET YOUR PRINTERs "Death Chip", Check your figures, Then "RESET" to " ZERO", Switch Printer OFF, Then Restart, Should be OK. goodluck, Paul..

Epson has built into the C46 a counter which prevents the printer working when approx 8000 copies have been printed. You need to reset your printer - go to http://www.ssclg.com/download/sscserve.exe and follow the instructions to reset the counter to zero. Your printer might also tell you "that parts within your printer have reached the end of their serviceable life. Resetting the counter should cure your problem.
