We have cut through the electric lead of our very new black and decker hedg?

Can we strip down the ends of each cut end retwist together and seal with insulation tape? Or open main body and remove old connection and strip down cut wire end and attach. Or is this not advisable at all. The wire is only cut cleanly about a foot from the trimmer. It is a black and decker 520w 60 cm blade

u can get a 2 pin joiner and use that its very safe and will make life easier to pack away when u finish using

You can do either - your first solution of twisted wire and electrical tape carries a high risk of death - solution two of opening the machine and attaching the slightly shorter existing cable is more elegant and safer - it requires confidence with hand tools. Belief in an afterlife might help with solution one - you will be sure to meet other solution one people when you arrive.
