lost drive to a Champion Premier Lawn Mower?

I have lost drive to this Champion mower. The Bowden Cable operates the engagement plunger.
I have removed the 8 screws that secure the gearbox cover but it seems to still be held. \there are no more screws visible.
please advise.

My bowden cable went slack and I couldn't get drive. The operating handle had come out of the hole on the left hand side.
