how to fix my anti-lock breaks on my renault laguna sport tourer 51 reg?

my ABS warning light comes on now and again but just recently it comes on as soon as i set off driving, i had a similar problem with my golf but a friend detatched a wire from the break shoe and attached a clip to it so it fooled the on board computer. i have looked for the wires on my laguna but cant seem to find them can anyone help

dont start unpluging things as the ecu will store the fault codes and will cost more to fix as the garage will have to do the job twice. once to fix whot you done and once to fix the prob the car has.

The light on your Golf was the brake pad wear monitor, nothing to do with the ABS.
Your options are-
1/ get the fault code(s) read, put up the results in a new post and we can discuss options, or

2/ "save money" by not getting the diagnostic check done, just start fitting new parts at random. This will end up costing ten times more than option 1, but for some reason it's what a lot of people do.
