I have a peugot 206 and it is really noisy. I checked the oil and there is plenty. Friend in work thinks it is copping. What is this? How can I fix it?

never heard of copping. need to determine if its top of engine or bottom end. could just be tappets require setting (depending which engine you have) or could be pistons/crank noise if from bottom of engine. first costs nothing to fix but second guess will cost a lot and sometimes a replacement engine is cheaper.
