Nice one!
It's always such a relief when the bill is so small, just hide those jump leads!!!

well im pleased to say my car is now back on the road and it cos £25 although i suspect if i went to a renault garage it would have cost a lot more.
the problem was a fuse on the red bit of the battery (sorry for the untechnical speak) i had a mechanic come out to look and he said he would have to have it taken to the garage but just as he was going he said hang on ill try this and he used a set of pliers on the battery while i started the car and it started. i could have kissed him :-)

I know it's a bit late for you but I've said over and over on here not to let jump leads anywhere near a Renault, either giving or getting a jump. The electronics are too fragile.
You have to be very careful jumping any modern vehicle, both engines must be off before disconnecting, see here for details

Re your problem, it might be worth disconnecting your car battery for a few hours, this will sometimes let the system re-set.
I suspect, however, you have done some serious damage. At the very least you will need to get the fault codes read via diagnostic computer, but I think you'll need to get the phone book out and look for a mobile auto electronics specialist.
