Car is revving up without me pushing the accelerator?

When I start my car it revs up without me pushing the accelerator and also in between changing gears. Also when I stop it can also rev up then settle. Any clues. I guess it 's something to do with the choke. Can I fix it? It's a V reg Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 16v injection.

Idle control valve sticking, easy DIY fix, remove the valve and clean it with a spray carb cleaner ONLY do not use WD40 as it will make it worse!!!
