ford focus wont start?

My s-reg ford focus wouldn't turn over checked the battery it was fine so replaced the starter, it will now turn over but not fire up. I have been told it could be the starter sensor but dont now where it is on the engine

focus are bad for the cylinder head sensor that is located inbetween no 2 and 3 plug lead causes the car to flood

DARREN C, October 2009
the starter has a solenoid which is usually powered by the smaller of the two wires leading to the stater, take a multimeter to this wire using a steel bolt e.t.c as your negative get someone to turn the ignition on and check for a feed thus elimanting any ingnition fault. if your solenoid is receiving a feed it may need replacing the metal contacts within these often rust and snap try checking these.
