Why is my starter motor on my vauxhall astra van noisy when i start it up?

The starter motor is usually noisey because of mounting positions or faulty gear to flywheel alignment ...other than the starter motor is faulty .
Has starter been replaced recently .......most of the time its just motor has come loose and not shimed right for flywheel engagement ......
