how can I fix a thermostat housing in the land rover freelander 2.5V6 Engin?

Please can someone give me a detailed instruction on how to fit a new thermostat housing in a 2001 freelander 2.5V6 petrol model.
Do I need any special tools to do this job... Thankyou.
