Injector pump belt?

My vehicle is a Transit 190 LWB panel van. 2496 cc diesel 1998. The engine recently died on me in Spain and the problem appears to be that the injector pump pulley at the front is not turning. I ascertained this by removing the top bolts of the drive belt cover and prising it forward to see the gear wheel on the front of the pump. The drive belt is not broken and although the engine turns over normally, the drive belt does,nt move. The vehicle is very low mileage [Just over 100K]
What could the problem be and how can I fix it?

teeth will be missing on section of belt ,you will need to remove it to check-then you will need to re-time engine fit new belt, remove rocker cover and straighten the push rods that are bent [or fit new] ,i think there is a modified auto adjusting idler that you will be better off fitting.
