What is wrong with my Crusader Tumble Dryer ?

My tumble dryer has stopped heating. The rest works fine. I have taken it to bits but can see many components in the chain and therefore am reluctant to buy a new element just because gut feeling suggests it. Can anybody reduce my betting odds and help me out please? Also, I cannot see to find the exact match for the element which is Crusader 37667, 230v 2500w.

My tumble dryer won't stop if i turn it to 70 mins it will count down until its in between 30 - 40 mins and then go on forever.

I've just had the same problem as above - dryer running cold. Reset thermostat as described and now working fine!
Thanks for the tip - saved £10.

On my Crusader it is the thermostat above the heater that clicks off, I think its an over temperature thermostat.

REMOVE THE POWER LEAD FIRST

I remove the lower shaped cover off the back by removing screws and with an open paper clip push it into the hole in the middle of the left hand switch.

This resets it. Make sure all filters and condenser is free of fluff this causes it to switch off.
