Merge 2 keys for Vauxhall Vectra as one for ignition other for alarm?

I had to change the ignition barrel on my Vauxhall Vectra Estate recently. However, I now have one key for the the ignition and another for the central locking! Is there a way of taking whatever is in the key for the locking and putting it in the new key for the ignition; i.e. I would like just one key that does all!!

Thanks. Would it work be placing the ignition key in, wait for dash lights then press the key fobs(like if replacing the battery in the key fob)?

Depends on the year of car. If it's an old Vectra A then yes, just pop off the old blade section, remove the immobiliser chip, fit the chip to the new key blade and fit new key to old remote fob.
I would not recommend you do this though, as it means if the remote fails or loses sync you will not be able to open the doors or the boot using the new key, so you could get locked out.
