My fuel and vent lines have hardened and are cracking. I bought new lines but I can not get them in the tank. I can push them into the hole on the tank handle but where they should make a 90 degree down turn into another hole to the tank, they just fill up the handle cavatiy. Please help

cut your fuel line end at a lond angle to create a point at the end of the fuel line. then gently feed and pull the point end thru the hole.
