Hotpoint WMA33 Electrical crackelling noise at start of rotations?

When the machine starts a rotation it sometimes makes an electrical crackling noise with assosiated ceiling lights flickering. I suspect the motor commutator! Has anyone got an knowledge, diagram of the motor parts etc, and how easy is it to rebuild and replace the motor?

Done that! Motor works well. Seems to happen at the start of a new cycle (when going from wash to first rinse)!
