Alternater and batterie replaced central locking was not woking but had repaired. Whilest driving car will cut out/wont start again for around 30 min ecu saying different readings for fuel ranging from above/less correct amount or nothing. fuel gage will say correct amount of fuel

Sometimes the ECU is saying i dont have fuel and also gives different readings saying i have different amount of miles left. For example sometimes it will say i have 40 miles left then next id have 80 or no fuel when petrol gage is telling me there is this could happen while only going as far as down the road. Iv taken the car to the garage but nothing comes up on there machine they are at a loss as why it would randomly cut out and wont start again for sometime this all happend since i had a new alternator and battery fitted

I dont quite understand.
Are you telling us the ECU is saying the fuel tank is empty?
What software are you using to interrogate the ECU?
