is revervse switch on a 96 55 visable from liftin the bonet or from underneth?

can be seen from under bonnet but is best accessed from underneath.-should have a plastic plug on it with 2 wires coming out and [i think] it may have a connection under air filter box,clipped to n/s/f chassis rail.
