How can I fix my John Deere riding mower?

I have a John Deere LT133 riding mower. I've been noticing a lot of play in the steering wheel. Now I can turn the steering wheel, but the wheels are not turning.

It may be the steering gear on the end of the shaft. Some of the newer mowers are nylon. Part is about 25 dollars I think. Check the front spindles to see if they have been greased. Disconnect the rod to the front wheel and see if they move. May not be the gear at all

Just follow the steering rods ect and see where it isn`t doing anything
