How check tumble dryer thermostat Zanussi TC7103W?

Hi, our tumble drier has no heat, and previuos reviews suggests this is probably due to thermostat. I have successfully removed this, but how do I check if it is faulty. Should the circuit be open or closed?

from 1 side to the other side of the stat should be normally close (circuit through it)
