Ford Mondeo 2004 warning light?

I have an Mondeo 2.0 ghia gasolyne and a engine warning light is on...
What that mean..??
What kind of a problem is connected with that warning?

Mine has just came on too, I have a 1.8 petrol, 52 reg. Read the manual and it just says that its a engine malfunction but the car is driving well, no noise or anything thats different. Taking it to Ford will cost a fortune, so I could do with some help too.

If you have the cars handbook (drivers manual) look in it to find out which light it is then post a new question.
If you dont have the handbook, and cant get a look at some one elses post again with a description of the light and exactly where it is on the dash.
