Saab 9-3 failure lights and speedometer problem?

My '02, Saab 9-3 is making me crazy. While driving- all failure lights come on and the speedometer goes to 0. Then several minutes later, all failure lights go off and the speedometer starts moving again. What is going on? This happens about 2-4 times a day. I'm scared to drive it anymore until I know what the problem is. Does anyone have a clue? I sure would appreciate any ideas.
Thanks.

Hi all...
I've just found out, from The Saab Forum that this fault is most likely caused by the ABS sensor attached to the rear nearside (passenger side) wheel. There are sensors on all 4 wheels but this one controls the speedo.
Apparently it is integrated into the hub but you can try cleaning it and the toothed wheel, which might help.
Failing that, it's a new sensor
