Had this problem with mine and my mothers. Bex Bissell changed their pumps that had a plactic impeller blade (think thats what the repairman told me). Showed me the new versus old, new had metal impellers. Fitted new one for me no problem now. So you need to change the pump. Easy to do yourself.
