engine managment light?

My engine managment light came on and the car now goes alot slower. That was a few months ago and it hasn't went out since. There doesn't seem to be any bursts in any pipes as this has been checked.

nothing to do with burst pipes car needs to go on a code reader to tell you the FAULT
need to do this ASAP as will FAIL a M O T
