Zanussi TC470 Belt keeps coming off, How do I stop it?

The green belt on the back of the drier keeps coming off. How do I prevent this from happening? Also, is there a trip switch for the heating element if it gets too hot as a result of the belt coming off and not cooling the element? I need to reset it.

I have had the same problem the green belt keeps jumping off for no reason, i solved this by rubbing down the groove in the drive wheel with emery paper which seems to have cured the problem I think the belt loses grip and slides off, making it a bit rougher seems to help.

The fan that this green belt drives could perhaps be the problem. Mine had worn and I replaced it noting that the new one rotated much more easily and smoothly. I have to say though that this belt didn't fall off, rather it just didn't rotate the fan at full speed and made a racket.

I am currently having exactly the same problem with my Zanussi TC470. Not sure how to keep the belt coming off. Can only think the belt has lost some of its tension (renew). As regard to the heater tripping out I think the over-temp cut out should reset itself as it cools down but if it doesn't there is a reset button on the heater unit which is accessed by removing the cowling at the back and then removing the heater unit.
