fix light on ford mondeo dashboard r reg 1.8lx?

This is an "Air Bag" warning light, the air bag should be "De-activated" as a fault in this system seems apparant. I would check for any rubbish down the sides of seats which may of snagged the wiring to the seat belt pre-tensioners. (these are connected in the same system to the airbag). Check all connections to the seat belt pre-tensioners too. Also the airbag it-self is good for 15 years b4 a new one is required. I will pre-warn you know that a new one is gonna cost around £500 & thats solely for the airbag (Not the steering wheel)!!

Its showing that either you have a problem with your seatbelt or it doesn`r reconized that you have buckled it up


Some seat belts have a cylinder in them on the side that retracts when the air bag deploys to help keep you in the seat
